Just because a flower is easy to grow, it can be taken for granted, can't it?
And these little Cambrian or Welsh Poppies are so obliging, much tougher than they look. Seeding all over the garden into any space they can (yes, you could call them a 'weed' if you must.)
Dependably flowering in May in zingy Lemons & Oranges, they brighten up dull spaces (like here by my workshop). Adored by the bees too.
And in tiny bud vases, a cheerful addition for several days to my kitchen (& yes, they often appear at weddings too). So much easier to grow than their diva cousins the Iceland Poppies & definitely a cheerful addition to a Spring garden.
